A family in Birmingham says their cat has refused to enter the kitchen for nearly three weeks following what they describe as a \u201cdeeply personal conflict\u201d with a robot vacuum cleaner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the owners, the incident occurred after the vacuum unexpectedly activated during the night and gently bumped into the cat while cleaning under the dining table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since then, the cat reportedly monitors the machine constantly from a safe distance before retreating upstairs whenever it moves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe used to sleep in the kitchen,\u201d one family member explained. \u201cNow he stands in the hallway staring at it like it owes him money.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Attempts to rebuild trust have reportedly failed. Treats placed near the vacuum remain untouched, while the cat has allegedly begun taking alternate routes around the house to avoid the area entirely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
